IRISH STEW:

Serves 4 to 6
Ingredients
1. 1kg lamb neck chops
3 large onions, sliced
1 kg potatoes, sliced
2 tbs. Worcestershire sauce
Method
Arrange a layer of chops in a flame proof casserole dish. Season with sea salt and pepper. Cover with a layer of onions and then potatoes. Repeat until all used.
Sprinkle sauce over the top, then pour in enough water to come two-thirds up the dish.
Place on cook top and bring to the boil, cover, and transfer to a preheated 160C oven for 2 ½ hours.
TJOPS IN ‘N PAKKIE:
8 skaaptjops, 2 cm dik
15 ml kookolie
3 tamaties, geskil en gekap
30 ml vrugteblatjang
5 ml sout
varsgemaalde swartpeper na smaak
Plaas elke tjop op die blink kant van ‘n groot stuk foelie. Verhit kookolie in swaarboompan of potjie en braai uie liggies tot deurskynend. Voeg tamatie, blatjang, sout en peper b y en laat mengsel 5 min prut. Skep op elke tjop, draai stewig in foelie toe en plaas pakkie 30 minute oor warm kole.
